HOSTING: FOOD, FELLOWSHIP AND LASTING RELATIONSHIPS
Many Native families live off reservation in urban communities. The urban outreach of NAYM in the Phoenix Metro area includes sharing the Gospel with those who have not yet come to know Jesus as Savior, and reaching out to Native believers with encouragement and opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship. NAYM’s goal is to see indigenous Christians take leadership roles in ministry and reaching out to their own people. In the past we have been involved with home Bible Studies and monthly fellowship meals. Since 2020, there has been a new focus to reach out to individuals and families, since groups meetings had been difficult.
Hosting our missionaries and teams in Phoenix has been a major ministry since 2020. Getting a meal or staying the night before heading to a reservation ministry has been a great resource.
