Urban Outreach

Many Native families live off-reservation in urban areas, including the Phoenix Metro region. NAYM’s urban outreach focuses on sharing the Gospel with those who have not yet come to know Jesus, while also encouraging Native believers through spiritual support, fellowship, and discipleship opportunities.

Our goal is to empower Indigenous Christians to grow in their faith and take active leadership in ministry—reaching their own communities for Christ. In the past, this outreach included home Bible studies and monthly fellowship meals. Since 2020, however, our focus has shifted toward more personal, one-on-one connections with individuals and families, especially as group gatherings became more limited.

In addition, a key part of our ministry has been hosting missionaries and teams traveling through Phoenix. Providing a meal, a place to rest, or simply a moment of fellowship before heading out to serve on the reservations has become a vital and valued resource.
